The OACFI Bylaws Committee is delighted to present the upcoming motion to adopt a new set of OACFI Bylaws. Please, click on the Green Button below to view the draft document which will be presented at our November meeting. This is followed by the Motion to Adopt the Bylaws which presents it to the intergroup to be voted upon. Be sure to print out a copy and share it at your meetings!

CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS:
As part of our Consent Agenda, we will be addressing some “housekeeping” items to further align our proposed Bylaws with our current Standing Rules and Policies and Procedures Manuals. Have a look through the following motions and amendments, all of which will be offered as a single group vote at our November 2026 meeting. If you wish to offer an amendment on any of the following they will be removed from the Consent Agenda and dealt with as a single motion. Please do have a look through and share at your meeting to see what you think.

Thanks to the time, care, and commitment of our Bylaws Committee, OACFI now has a proposed revision of our Bylaws ready for review by the Intergroup and the OA Fellowship throughout Central Florida at our meeting in November 2026! Bylaws may not be the most glamorous part of service, but they matter. They give us clarity about how OACFI works, how we make decisions, and how we serve together — so that we can spend less time wondering how to do the work and more time focused on what brings us together in the first place: RECOVERY!
Now it’s your turn to take a look! Everyone within the Central Florida Intergroup area is invited to review the proposed Bylaws before the November 14, 2026 OACFI meeting. If you see something you believe should be changed, clarified, added, or removed, you may submit an amendment using the form below. This gives everyone an opportunity to be heard before the Intergroup considers adoption of the revised Bylaws.
Please share these with your meeting! Below you’ll find the proposed Bylaws, the motion to adopt them, and the related Consent Agenda items. Many of the Consent Agenda items are essentially housekeeping changes that accompany the Bylaws revision. Please download or share these materials with your OA group, discuss them together, and encourage your members to review them.
The better informed we are before the vote, the better equipped we are to make a decision that serves OACFI and the Fellowship as a whole.
